The Shamrock has been the Irish Pub of Lecco since 2012, a small corner of Ireland set between the lake and the mountains that frame the Lombard town well described by Alessandro Manzoni in his promised spouses.
The Shamrock, the clover, is one of the symbols of Ireland, the magical land that inspired the birth of this pub, where it is possible to taste drinks and typically Irish foods and listen to the music of the island of Smeraldo. At the Shamrock, on the other hand, everything is Irish: the 16 ways of beer and sidri with the plug, the over 50 craft beers and cystic caves in can and bottle, the over 50 whiskey, the gin and also the tonic waters that we use to mix our Gin Tonic. Not to mention the typical dishes of Irish cuisine based on meat and fish and atmosphere music, which catapult those who cross the Shamrock door directly to Dublin and surroundings.
The clover was used by San Patrizio to explain to the people the meaning of the Christian Trinity. We celebrate the great feast of San Patrizio on March 17 every year. But every day it is good to raise a pint of guinness or another good Irish beer and, how to do it in Ireland, exclaim … slàìnte!
